Why Trenchless Technology Is Best

Why Trenchless Technology Is Best

If you or any of your neighbors have ever had problems with their sewer lines, you know how much of a nightmare sewer line repair or replacement can be. It requires expensive excavation of the pipes, destruction to your yard and disruption of your daily life. But what other way is there?

Allstar Home Service is one of only a few plumbers in the Inland Empire who can offer an alternative: trenchless technology. Trenchless technology is changing the landscape of sewer repair and replacement service. Using a combination of cutting-edge technologies, we can diagnose leaking or failing sewer lines and resolve the problem without impacting your landscape!

The 5 Fabulous Benefits of Trenchless Technology

1.(Almost) no digging! Digging a trench to get to your sewer lines is disruptive enough when it’s just under your yard, but it’s even worse when it goes under your driveway or the street. But with this groundbreaking technology, there’s no excavation. We just dig two small holes, one at either end of the pipe, meaning you don’t have to worry about breaking ground with a backhoe.

2.It saves money. A lot of it. Traditional sewer repairs cost a ton of money. You have to pay your plumber for the repairs themselves, and you also have to pay for an excavator to dig up your yard and put the earth back after the work is done, and then you have to pay for the landscape repairs to get your yard looking right again. You can have trenchless sewer repair and replacement done for a fraction of the cost.

3.There’s less downtime. Traditional methods of sewer repair and replacement take two to five days to complete, depending on the location and severity of the sewer problem. That means your yard is a dug-out wasteland for nearly a week, and you may not have water in your home during that time. Trenchless sewer replacement and repair can take as little as a single day, getting you back to your normal routines with minimal downtime and frustration.

4.You get better water flow. Whether using trenchless pipe bursting or cured-in-place piping (CIPP), trenchless pipes are flexible and seamless. With pipe bursting, there is a hard bursting head at the front of the flexible pipe that obliterates the old sewer pipe as we pull, allowing it to be absorbed back into the soil. With CIPP, a deflated pipe imbued with epoxy adhesive is pulled through the pipe then inflated; as the pipe inflates, it adheres to the old pipe, making it functional again. Since the new trenchless pipes are seamless, potential obstructions have nothing to stick to, reducing your chance of clogs in the line.

5. Trenchless technology lasts. Trenchless pipe has an expected service life of 50 years, significantly longer than PVC, copper, or iron piping. When you use trenchless technology to repair your sewer lines, you can reasonably expect to never call us about that sewer pipe again while you live in the home. And your children and grandchildren probably won’t have to call us about that pipe, either. Don’t you think a three-generation plumbing solution is worth the investment?
